Accessibility at Oxford Brookes

Disability equality is important to us at Oxford Brookes. We want to give disabled people the information they need about physical access to our buildings.
That’s why we commissioned DisabledGo to create access guides for over seventy of our venues, covering accommodation, learning facilities, libraries, cafes and sports facilities, osteopathic clinics and more. Find out more on the DisabledGo website.
Each guide features information collected by a DisabledGo surveyor during a site visit, based on feedback from disabled people about what information is useful. The guides are updated each summer so may not reflect improvements which have been made during the year. Please help us to keep the guides accurate by emailing eod@brookes.ac.uk.

Campus redevelopment

We are building a major new library and teaching building and are working closely with architects Design Engine and access consultants QMP to ensure that it is accessible for disabled people.
Please check our Space to Think updates before your visit to find details and maps of current construction work affecting routes and access at our Gipsy Lane site.

More information on Disability and Dyslexia support

Enabling disabled people to visit, study and work at Brookes is about more than simply physical access. We provide a wide range of other support for students including study skills training for dyslexic students, alternative exam provision, assistive software and technology, alternative formats, and note taking.
You can find out more on the Student Disability and Dyslexia Service web pages.
We also provide support for disabled job applicants and staff to enable them to work effectively. Please contact us at disabledstaffsupport@brookes.ac.uk or on +44 (0) 1865 483148 for more information.
